Description:

Lumberjacks, also known as Loggers, are responsible for cutting down trees, processing timber, and transporting logs from forested areas. They operate heavy machinery and follow safety protocols to harvest timber efficiently while minimizing environmental impact.

Certifications (U.S./Canada):

  • United States: Certified Logging Professional (CLP)
  • Canada: BC Forest Safety Council – Logger Safety Certification

Arborist

Description:

Arborists specialize in the care and management of trees in urban, suburban, and rural environments. They perform tasks such as tree trimming, pruning, and removal to ensure the health and safety of trees and surrounding areas.

Certifications (U.S./Canada):

  • United States: International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) – Certified Arborist
  • Canada: ISA Certified Arborist (Canada)
