Painter
Description:
Painters prepare surfaces by cleaning, filling, and sanding before applying paint, stains, or coatings to achieve a smooth, high-quality finish. They work on a variety of projects, including homes, offices, and industrial buildings, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and protective finishes.
Certifications (U.S./Canada):
- United States: Painting and Decorating Contractors of America (PDCA) Certification
- Canada: Red Seal – Painter and Decorator Certification
Tile Setter
Description:
Tile Setters are responsible for measuring, cutting, and installing tiles made of ceramic, stone, or glass on floors, walls, and decorative surfaces. They ensure tiles are laid with precision, achieving both durability and aesthetic appeal in kitchens, bathrooms, and other interior spaces.
Certifications (U.S./Canada):
- United States: Certified Tile Installer (CTI)
- Canada: Red Seal – Tile Setter Certification
Glazier
Description:
Glaziers specialize in installing glass in windows, skylights, and doors for both residential and commercial buildings. They handle the removal and repair of old glass and are also responsible for cutting, fitting, and sealing glass to ensure safety and energy efficiency.
